(untamed)

A soft palette, with a wilder side.
Loose grasses, long lines and flowers that seem to grow wherever they please.

(red / green)

The idea began with SweetO’s red strawberry boxes.

We imagined them placed within a garden, surrounded by layers of green, flowers and natural textures, rather than isolated on the table.

What interested us was the contrast: a very “product” object sitting within a deeply natural setting, without trying to make the two look alike.

Greenery spreads across the tables and onto the floor, creating a dense landscape where the red boxes appear as points of colour.

Red, set against a garden of green.

That was enough.

[ Donita Series 03 . Round Vase Arrangement ]

For this session, Donita worked on a round vase arrangement using a larger woven water hyacinth basket than our usual starting scale.

As she became more comfortable with the structure, we increased the scale of the container asking her to work with more volume while keeping the rounded form balanced.

A small shift in scale, but a different level of control.

A composition built across rather than upward.

Dense floral forms hold the centre, while fine greens extend beyond the edges, giving the arrangement its horizontal rhythm.

[ Donita Series 02 . Asymmetrical Bouquet ]

For Donita, the next exercise explored asymmetry, finding balance without creating the same visual weight on both sides.
Different heights, directions and textures give the bouquet its movement, while the overall composition remains intentional.
A study in how structure can feel less rigid, without losing its sense of balance.

(twist)

The bouquet begins with a soft palette, then takes an unexpected turn.
Pink flowers create the dominant atmosphere, but the composition is held in tension by grasses twisted into loose, looping forms. Their irregular lines interrupt the softness, adding structure and a slightly sharper rhythm to the garden-style silhouette.
The colour stays delicate. The gesture does not.

[ Donita Series 01 . Classic & Garden Bouquets ]

For Donita, we began with the classic round bouquet — balanced, compact and built through the spiral hand-tied technique.
The exercise focused on structure and proportion, where each stem contributes to the shape and balance of the whole.

Then we moved into a garden-style composition, allowing the stems to loosen, the flowers to sit at different heights, and the silhouette to feel more natural.

Two bouquet forms, two different sets of rules — within one class.

(hush)

Soft pink settles into a quiet composition.
Long grasses extend beyond the flowers, leaving the bouquet light, airy and gently undone.

(weight)

The composition holds its weight low, while fine lines keep reaching beyond it.
Deep reds gather into a dense centre; lighter stems and foliage pull the eye outward, giving the arrangement a quieter sense of movement.
A study in weight, tension and space.

A composition shaped by gravity.
Some lines reach upward, others fall freely, pulling the arrangement in opposite directions. The centre holds them together.
